πŸ“¦ Deliverables Widget

The Deliverables Widget is used to track, organize, and manage deliverables for a project, client, or task. It allows you to break work into clear items, organize them into a hierarchy, assign responsibility, track progress, and manage deadlines β€” all in one place.

What Is a Deliverable?

A deliverable represents a piece of work that must be completed. Deliverables can:

  • Be grouped under projects, clients, or other records
  • Contain sub-deliverables
  • Have due dates, statuses, and milestones
  • Be assigned to team members

Layout Overview

The Deliverables Widget has three main areas:

1. Toolbar (Top)

Used to add, organize, and filter deliverables.

2. Deliverables List (Center)

Shows deliverables in a structured, expandable list.

3. Details Panel (Right)

Displays detailed information for the selected deliverable.

Adding Deliverables

To add a new deliverable:

  1. Click the οΌ‹ Add Deliverable button
  2. A new deliverable appears in the list
  3. Rename it by double-clicking the name

You can add deliverables at any time and reorganize them later.

Creating Sub-Deliverables

Deliverables can be nested to represent phases or steps.

To create a sub-deliverable:

  1. Select a deliverable
  2. Click Make Child
  3. The deliverable becomes nested under the selected parent

Use this to break large tasks into smaller parts.

Renaming Deliverables

  • Double-click a deliverable name to edit it
  • Press Enter or click away to save

Names update instantly.

Selecting a Deliverable

  • Click a deliverable to select it
  • The selected deliverable is highlighted
  • Toolbar actions apply to the selected deliverable

Reordering Deliverables

You can change the order of deliverables using the toolbar:

  • β–² Move Up
  • β–Ό Move Down
  • β—€ Promote (move up one level)
  • β–Ά Make Child (nest under another deliverable)

This helps reflect real project structure.

Search works across all visible deliverables and groups.

Grouped View

When working across multiple projects or targets, deliverables may appear grouped.

Groups can be:

  • Expanded or collapsed
  • Labeled clearly (Project, Client, etc.)
  • Managed independently

You can add deliverables directly inside a group.

The details panel allows you to view and edit:

Assignments help clarify ownership.

Using Milestones

Each deliverable can contain milestones.

Milestones allow you to:

  • Reorder milestones
  • Mark milestones complete

Milestones appear under their deliverable and update in real time.

Deleting Deliverables

To delete a deliverable:

  1. Select it
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm the action

⚠️ Deleting a deliverable also removes its sub-deliverables and milestones.

Read-Only Mode

Some users may have view-only access.

In read-only mode:

  • Editing is disabled
  • Deliverables cannot be moved or deleted
  • Details are visible but not editable

Tips for Best Use

  • Use hierarchy to break down complex work
  • Track progress using statuses and milestones
