Project Wizard
The Project Wizard is a streamlined setup workflow designed for firms that handle repeatable, standardized projects.
It allows you to define a project, property, and services in one continuous flow.
When to Use This
Use the Project Wizard when:
- Projects follow a predictable pattern
- You want property defined immediately
- Services are known at project creation
- You want fewer decisions later
This workflow trades flexibility for speed through structure.
Step 1: Project
The first step creates the project shell.
Required Fields
- Project Name
- Client
Once you proceed, the project is created and saved.
Step 2: Property (Optional)
After the project exists, you may:
- Draw property geometry on the map
- Save it directly to the project
- Skip this step if not applicable
Property setup is optional and non-blocking.
Step 3: Services (Optional)
You can optionally define services immediately.
Service Setup
- Start with an empty service tree
- Add services hierarchically
- Configure quantities, rates, and totals
- Choose which columns are visible
This step is especially useful for repeatable scopes.
Finishing the Wizard
When finished:
- The project is fully created
- Any properties and services are saved
- You return to the calling workflow
Closing the wizard does not delete the project.
Summary
The Project Wizard is optimized for repeatability.
If your firm does the same work over and over, this workflow helps you move faster by setting structure early—without locking you in.
